All about Electronic Media Production II

In Electronic Media Production II we basically learned about all the different way you could use media in an online aspect. It's so many ways you could use media on the the internet , in ways such as, twitter, pinterest, prezi, kizoa, and many more site and ways. In this class we went into detail about twitter like who created it, what you can do and how it pertains to media. Also pinterest as well as who created it, what you can do, and why it's useful.
Those are two sites I use in my actual life. I love pinterst because of the creativity and diversity it has, it literally has everything you could think of that you use in your everyday life or actually want to use.
Prezi is also another site I think I will be using again because of how different and creative it is. Using powerpoint seems boring compared to prezi. With powerpoint you have the same boring slides, to view and not many ways to make it creative, you have many different ways to make prezi creative. Making a board based on your topic is one, how you set up your board, the background, and many more ways its really interesting.
Kizoa is also a cool little movie webiste you can put movies and pictures together to make great little content. I thought it would be hard at first but it actually wasn't hard to use at all. We had a BullDog scavenger hunt where we had to go around the campus and take pictures of all the bulldogs that are on campus. After that was done we had to go to the Kizoa site and put them all together in a movie upload it to our blog and there it was.
My overall thought on the course was actually great. I never made a blog before and and I think this is something I would actually like to keep up in the future. Its very convenient. I'm glad I took this class my Professor Harwood was very helpful throughout this course and went into detail about everything and how to get it done. There are still somethings I would need help with but, this is only the beginning.

SC State Bulldog Hunt

This particular project was a very interesting but yet fun one. Getting to go around campus and find all the bulldogs was fun because I didn't realize how many bulldogs we actually had around campus. I think Kizoa is a great site to use and I actually think I will be using this site again in the future because it can actually be used in your everyday life. I don't think it was hard to used it was very easy and straight forward it also give you the steps on how to use it.

Prezi Is Better Then PowerPoint

Prezi to me is a better version of PowerPoint if you ask me, sort of like the modern day power-point.
You don't have to have it in any specific order, you can zoom in and out of specific slides, and the format and layout is a lot better. I feel like because of the size of the text box it allows you to get straight to the point.

Having to put prezi to use I created one on my Top 10 Movies I did mines on my top ten favorite movies (in general). I was able to include a little brief description of what the movie was about or what I liked about it, and topping it off with a picture of the movie.

 " Where I Want To Be! "

This project was kind of tough. Trying to basically merge two photos into one. I had a class in high school where we used Photoshop which is sort of a similar idea to this as far as embedding a photo into another. I had trouble using iMovie on the regular PC instead of a Mac desktop so I had to have help from my Professor, but I really loved the outcome. I chose The Great Wall of China because it's somewhere I really would love to go one day. I love the scenery, how historical it is, and of course how far away it is. There was also some trouble trying to get myself positioned in the photo the correct way so it wouldn't too edited. I am grateful I had this opportunity to use iMovie and bring these photos together .This is a great tool to use if you need to make a flyer for a party, a wedding, an up coming event, etc. I feel like it can be useful in many ways. Doing this on a MAC desktop or laptop is way better than a regular PC.

Be on The Look Out For A Star

I got a chance to interview a star on the rise. Her name is Mariah Reed born February 15 and she is from Georgetown, SC. Mariah is a junior Mass Communications major here at South Carolina State University  Being asked what she would like to do with this major she says, " I want to graduate and go straight to the field wanting to pursue a career as a news anchor or work with a radio station." She has had some experience in the radio of course, having the opportunity to have an internship over the summer at a local radio station in her hometown.
I asked her why did she choose this major she said," well at first I was a theater major but changed to broadcasting because I feel it was a better field for me. Uhh I like talking." That explains perfectly why she changed because she would be able to do a lot of talking. In five plus years from now she plans to be really successful and making lot of money. I asked her what she does in her spare time seeing if she does anything special or extra to accomplish these goals and because her schedule is so chaotic she just relaxes; when she isn't in practice with South Carolina State Universities Sapphire Pom Squad. News 13 back at home. Mariah says being involved on campus and have her internships she wants to gain as much knowledge as she can to take with her in her career. She will soon start reaching out to as many radio station and news station as she can so she can have a job lined up for after she graduate. Make sure you are on the lookout for the up and coming broadcasting star Mariah Reed.

She goes to say that it is really time consuming and a lot of hard work, you really have to be dedicated. Reed's aspirations is to be wealthy and to be the best that she can be, not focus on the next person and just focus on herself. She doesn't just want to continue to stay in South Carolina because she has been here her whole life so she plan to take her career to another state and city after she graduates. She goes to say, " maybe Canada specially if Donald Trump becomes President lol." She didn't say she wanted to work for a specific radio station or news station but if it came down to it she would like to work at 98.5 radio station or Sign Off Radio Station that she worked for over the summer. The news station she would like to work for is

Who Said Pinterest Was Wack ?

Pinterest is a social network that lets you visually share and discover new interests by posting or pinning images and videos to their or even other users boards; a collection of pins that usually share a common theme and looking at what others have pinned. Ben Silbermann is the CEO as well as a founder along with Paul Sciarra and Evan Sharp. It was started in March 2011. People all over use Pinterest for many different reasons a bookmark, a sources of inspiration, promotion of their own brands, and also to just connect with others. I got started with Pinterest when my friend was telling me about where she got some of her work out exercises from and then I set me up an account and got started. this was many years back (high school days). I have a good variety of boards the range from fashion, projects to try, DIYs, home decoration, food, etc. I love the many different fashion ideas people pin on their, it definitely comes in handy when I'm trying to put an outfit together or if im going for a certain look how I could put it together. The food pins I have are really interesting because I'm one who likes to try different things and Pinterest gives me the ideas on recipes on how to make them. Also my home decoration board is a board that I kind of take serious because i can actually apply these ideas in real life. For example I got ideas on how I wanted to decorate my room for school this year. Overall I really am glad I got put onto Pinterest because it is really a good helpful site. I really don't have anything bad to say about it.

All About Twitter

Twitter is online social media service that allows you to network with other users. You are able to read and type up a 140 character message which is where the word "tweet" comes from. You are also able to re-tweet, re-share or give credit to someone else for their tweet. You have a news feed, that allows you to see a stream of tweets on your  homepage. With being a twitter user already I feel like twitter is a great site to network and interact with other users. Of course just like any other social media site it has its pros and cons. Some pros that consist of advertising, promoting, publicize, stay informed, news, events, sports, entertainment, quick and easy access, cost effective, recognition, gives everyone a voice, interactive feedback, network, informative, and the mobility and flexibility is great. When it comes to the cons there are a lot of those to but not as many; like the 140- character limit, potential for disinformation, inaccuracy, mischief, media overload, circumvent traditional news media, threat to English language, attention span, credibility issues at times, everything public (or may seem that way). Overall I think Twitter is a great social network to have. You are able to interact with people from all over the world and actually have a voice, specially about a certain topic such a politics, entertainment, and much more. My twitter
